Right now 300 unemployed young people in rural India are waiting to begin skills training. Without it, poverty is their only option.



We urgently need your support to raise $76,000 by 31 December 2011.

 

This money will fund places for 300 Indian high school graduates to join an intensive training program - giving them an opportunity to set up a small business and generate an income.

 

The program will equip them with practical skills, such as agriculture, livestock raising or mobile phone and computer repair. After their training, participants are able to receive a small loan and the support they need to set up a small business. Like other microfinance clients, many will go on to employ other people - creating a ripple effect of positive change that will spread throughout their local community.
